Responsibilities
- Lead Daily Activities: Plan and facilitate engaging camp activities, including team building, arts and crafts, sports, and STEM projects.
- Field Trip Supervision: Ensure 100% accountability and safety of all children during off-site field trips to parks, pools, museums, and local attractions.
- Active Engagement: Participate fully in all activities alongside the children, maintaining a high-energy, positive, and inclusive atmosphere.
- Behavior Management: Use positive guidance strategies to encourage teamwork, resolve conflicts, and manage school-age group dynamics.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict headcounts, follow transportation safety protocols, and adhere to state licensing regulations at all times.
- Parent Communication: Provide daily updates to parents regarding their child’s participation, behavior, and upcoming trip schedules.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in Education, Recreation, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children (5–12 years old) in a camp, after-school, or classroom setting.
- Proven ability to stay organized and maintain strict supervision in public, high-stimulus environments (like field trip locations).
- Must pass all state-mandated background checks and fingerprinting.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before camp starts).
- Optional: A clean driving record and willingness to drive a center van/bus is highly preferred.
