We are a fully integrated sand supply and services company, offering complete sand, logistics, storage, and management solutions to our customers with our in-basin trans-loading terminals and our smartsystem storage capabilities. We own and operate premium frac sand mines and related processing facilities in Wisconsin and Illinois, which have access to three Class I rail lines, allowing us to deliver products substantially anywhere in the United States and Canada.
We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Oiler to join our Maintenance team at our Oakdale facility.
The Oiler will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Superintendent but will require taking direction from other Smart Sand managers. This position is based at our Oakdale, WI facility.
Essential Job Duties
- Lubricate and grease all plant equipment based on the schedules developed by the Maintenance Planner.
- Perform on-the-spot equipment inspections during normal greasing routine—looking, listening, and feeling for anything abnormal in the equipment.
- Record infrared temperature readings for bearings and gearboxes.
- Communicate any issues identified during inspections to the Maintenance Superintendent and Maintenance Planner.
- Perform basic on-the-spot maintenance where applicable and prudent.
- Fuel equipment.
- Operate small equipment including, but not limited to: Kubota side-by-sides, skid steers, telehandlers and man lifts.
- Monitor grease tube inventory and communicate any reorders needed to the Maintenance Superintendent.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Work cooperatively to comply with facility-wide environmental and quality management systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior maintenance experience preferred.
- Able to use a variety of hand and power tools, digital meters and material-handling equipment in performing duties.
- MSHA training and experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Comfortable working at heights and from a man-basket.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Good judgment is required.
- Must be adaptable and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have high safety standards for self and others.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team atmosphere.
- Must be able to read.
- Must be willing to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
