Overview
As an Electromechanical Technician at SMARTqube, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing/test team, focused on the precise assembly of electrical components to contribute to the production of cutting-edge motor controls, communications equipment, analytical equipment, and more. The role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to producing high-quality electrical and mechanical assemblies.
Essential Functions
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to accurately assemble low voltage control panels.
- Perform wiring, soldering, and crimping of connections, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Utilize hand tools, soldering irons, and other equipment to assemble and test electrical components.
- Conduct functional tests on assembled products to identify and address any issues, working closely with the quality control team.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve assembly challenges.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage and handling of electrical components.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure working environment.
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree or trade school degree.
- Experience in wiring.
- Proven experience as an Integration Technician in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Familiarity with electrical components, circuits, and assembly techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics accurately.
- Proficient in using basic hand tools and other assembly equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Team player with good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of UL508A a plus.
