mart Point Learning Center is looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and motivated After School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and is committed to creating a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment. We are seeking someone who is organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities while working collaboratively with our staff.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the academic needs of students.
- Prepare instructional materials and classroom activities.
- Create a safe, positive, and respectful classroom environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Supervise students and encourage positive behavior through effective classroom management.
- Provide academic support in reading, writing, math, and homework assistance.
- Monitor student progress and communicate with parents regarding academic performance and behavior when needed.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to provide high-quality educational programs.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is preferred, but not required.
- Paid training will be provided for motivated candidates with a passion for working with children.
- Experience working with elementary school students is a plus.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for helping children learn and grow.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be dependable, patient, and positive.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a related field.
- Experience in an after-school program or learning center.
- Bilingual (English/Korean) is a plus.
