Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Driver/Appliance Delivery Helper to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will assist with the safe and efficient delivery of appliances and other large items to customers’ homes and businesses. Duties
- Assist with checking orders, loading, unloading, and securing appliances and heavy items using appropriate equipment such as dollie, hand truck
- Help with heavy lifting and moving appliances safely into customers’ homes or designated locations
- Support the driver in route driving, navigation, and timely deliveries to multiple locations throughout the day
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients, answering questions, and ensuring a positive delivery experience
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for manual handling and heavy lifting
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including receipts, delivery logs, and customer signatures
- Follow all safety guidelines related to commercial driving, vehicle operation, and warehouse procedures
Experience
- Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services preferred; familiarity with route driving is a plus
- Warehouse experience involving heavy lifting, moving large items, or operating equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is beneficial but not required; training will be provided if needed
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, moving appliances, and standing for extended periods
- Experience with load & unload procedures and safety protocols related to heavy loads
