Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 4 years of experience to join our dynamic team. This is an opportunity for a creative problem solver who enjoys hands-on prototyping and testing, but also brings project management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be excited by innovation, comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, and motivated to help shape the future of dental technology.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, prototyping, and testing of innovative dental hardware and device components.
- Plan and execute mechanical testing (structural, fatigue, and reliability) to validate product performance.
- Develop CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications to support manufacturing.
- Analyze test data, document findings, and provide clear recommendations for design improvements.
- Support regulatory and quality documentation requirements for medical devices.
- Manage projects from concept through validation, balancing timelines and technical requirements.
- Mentor younger engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including dentists, engineers, and product developers—to refine designs and integrate user feedback.
- Apply creative problem-solving to overcome engineering challenges and accelerate product development.
- Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay current with advances in design, testing methodologies, and materials, particularly in dental and biomedical applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 4 years of professional experience in design, prototyping, and testing.
- Strong background in mechanical testing and data-driven design improvements.
- Some experience in CNC Machining and 3D printing
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and lead small teams or initiatives.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion, or similar) and prototyping techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for innovation and problem-solving in product development.
- Preferred but not required: Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Plus: Experience in biomedical or medical device engineering.
