What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Designer position at Smart Meetings?
Interested in designing for a leading meetings and events magazine? Smart Meetings is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with 1–5 years of experience, with a strong foundation in print design, to join our team as a full-time Junior Production Designer. This role works closely with our production and events teams to bring creative concepts to life across both print and digital platforms, with a primary focus on producing high-quality print layouts.
Take ownership of the design and layout of features, columns and destination stories for print.
Collaborate closely with the Art Director and cross-functional teams (production, marketing, events, and editorial) to develop the overall look and feel of design assets.
Create fresh, engaging designs for both print and digital platforms.
Perform photo editing and online proofing
Design online banners
Demonstrate working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva (Animation and video editing are a plus).
Maintain a working knowledge of AI tools used in the design workflow.
Assist in designing the monthly event guide program, poster boards, and other promotional assets.
Create basic motion graphics and animations using After Effects.
Manage projects while meeting tight production deadlines.
