What are the responsibilities and job description for the Independent Drivers / Wheelchair Van Transporters position at SMART MEDICAL TRANSPORT?
**Wheelchair van owners, earn money with your vehicles**
We are looking for On-call / Independent Contractors/ Wheelchair Vans Medical Transporters / Drivers to join our team.
You will:
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills always.
- Be professional and maintain a positive attitude always.
- Transport patients to their medical appointments.
- Transport patients back from hospitals to their homes.
- Pick up patients on time, and ensure that they arrive on time for their appointments
Requirements:
1. Possess a dependable wheelchair van.
2. Have proof of automobile insurance with full coverage and road side assistance.
3. Be able to pass a background check.
4. Be at least 21 years (25 years and over preferred)
5. Have a clean MVR Record.
6. Be polite and professional.
7. Be a safe driver.
8. Be able to drive long distance trips when necessary.
Pay:
These are flat fee assignments.
Payments will be calculated per mileage driven while transporting the patients.
Wheelchair Vans $1.70 per mile (around $85 per hour)
Prior experience in taxi drivers, school bus drivers, commercial drivers are highly desired.
