About the Opportunity
Enloe Medical Center, a leading healthcare organization in Northern California, is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Outpatient Imaging to join its Diagnostic Imaging leadership team. Position Summary
The Assistant Manager, Outpatient Imaging, works under the direction of the Radiology Manager and plays a key role in supporting daily operations, staff leadership, quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and strategic departmental goals.
This individual will provide direct supervision to imaging leaders and technical staff, while fostering a collaborative environment focused on operational excellence, employee engagement, and exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily department operations and staffing management
- Support budget, productivity, and resource utilization goals
- Supervise Lead Technologists and Senior Technologists
- Promote employee engagement, development, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, ACR, Title 17, and Title 22 standards
- Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Monitor image quality and departmental performance metrics
- Serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Collaborate with nursing, clerical, and engineering departments to optimize workflows
- Participate in policy development, implementation, and regulatory updates
- Conduct annual employee evaluations and support professional development
- Maintain clinical competencies and provide imaging services as needed
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Diagnostic Technologist in an acute care setting
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in healthcare imaging
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
Licenses & Certifications
- Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Certification
OR
- Current ARRT Certification
- Current CPR Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher
- 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience
- Advanced imaging certifications (MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, or other specialty certifications)
- Experience with accreditation surveys and regulatory compliance programs
