Responsibilities
As a Sales Associate/Retail Clerk at Smart Foodservice Stores LLC, you will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with customers.
- Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Transferring products from cart to cart during checkout, inspecting for any damage or tampering.
- Verifying the contents of customers' carts against their purchases before they leave the store.
- Performing opening and closing duties at the front end, as assigned.
- Collaborating with colleagues to receive and stock inventory, maintaining a neat and organized store environment.
- Labelling merchandise correctly, including applying catch weight labels and plu tags.
- Restocking sales floor daily, prioritizing oldest products first.
- Utilizing computer programs like Microsoft Office and proprietary software as needed.
Requirements
- At least 6-12 months of experience working in retail, either as a cashier or stocker.
- Prior experience in sales and customer service is preferred.
- You must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- You should have basic computer skills, be comfortable handling cash, and know how to use common office equipment.
