Dog Trainer – Salem/Keizer, Oregon
Smart Dog Pet Training, LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable Dog Trainer located in the Salem/Keizer area to provide professional private dog training services to our clients.
Required Qualifications
- Must live in or near Salem/Keizer, Oregon
- Minimum 1 year of professional dog training experience
- Experience working with dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and temperaments
- Experience with puppy training, basic obedience, leash manners, and behavior concerns
- Comfortable working with dogs displaying reactivity, fear, anxiety, and other challenging behaviors
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Dependable transportation and ability to travel to clients throughout Salem, Keizer, and surrounding areas
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
- Must be comfortable working directly with dog owners and teaching them how to continue training between sessions
- Must not currently own or operate a competing dog training business
Position
This is a part-time field-based dog trainer position providing primarily private, one-on-one training with clients and their dogs. Training may take place in clients' homes and appropriate public locations.
We are looking for a trainer who is experienced, professional, dependable, and committed to helping clients achieve practical, lasting results with their dogs.
