Smart Commercial Construction, Co. is looking to hire skilled, self-motivated carpenters that possess a wide range of skill sets. Carpenters receive the satisfaction of working on and being a part of all phases of construction and seeing projects through to completion. Carpenters are full time, year-round, employees who are paid based on experience. Immediate growth and advancement opportunities are available.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow established safety policies, rules and regulations while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety.
- Read and understand blueprints, diagrams and written instructions. Must utilize mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to complete job requirements.
Maintain a high level of customer service, a friendly team environment within the organization, and interact effectively with trade partners.
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:
- A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to meet the physical demands of construction work (100lb. lifting requirement)
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment
- Possess a good work ethic and ability to follow directions
- Good oral and written communication skills
Self-motivated with desire to achieve goals and complete tasks
