Smart Automotive Group is looking for an experienced Automotive Title Clerk to join our team.
We have a close-knit, team-oriented work environment and a centralized accounting office that supports three dealerships. We work hard, help one another when needed, and value good communication and teamwork.
The primary responsibility of this position is processing title and registration paperwork for customers who purchase vehicles. We handle a high volume of paperwork, so strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail are important.
What you’ll be doing:
- Processing vehicle title and registration paperwork
- Reviewing deals and documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Tracking outstanding title work and following up on missing or incomplete documentation
- Communicating with dealership staff, customers, lenders, DMV offices, and other agencies as needed
- Maintaining accurate and organized title records
- Assisting with other accounting or administrative duties as needed
We are a team-oriented office, and responsibilities may occasionally overlap when workloads require it. Title work will be the primary responsibility of this position, while other members of the accounting team may also assist with title-related duties when needed.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous automotive dealership title experience
- Working knowledge of vehicle title and registration procedures
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage a high volume of paperwork and multiple priorities
- Dependable and professional communication
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the accounting and dealership teams
- Willingness to ask questions and follow up when documentation is incomplete or requires clarification
- NC Notary required
This is an experienced-level position. Previous automotive dealership title experience is required due to the volume and responsibilities of the role.
