Who we are

Smart Chemical Solutions is a growing oilfield production-chemicals and logistics company serving operators across the Permian Basin and Mid-Continent. Our field crews deliver every day — this role makes sure every ticket they write becomes an accurate invoice and gets paid.

The job — straight up

This is first and foremost a billing seat (roughly 70% of your week), with operations support built around it (roughly 30%). It is high-volume, deadline-driven work — month-end is the busiest week, every month. You will own the ticket-to-invoice cycle for our entire Mid-Continent region, working from our Okarche office:

Billing (core)

• Turn field service tickets into accurate customer invoices, daily

• Apply the correct sales tax by state and jurisdiction; keep customer exemption certificates current

• Submit and track invoices through customer billing portals (Enverus OpenTicket / OpenInvoice and similar)

• Chase down missing tickets, pricing discrepancies, and approvals with field supervisors and customers

• Resolve disputes and short-pays; keep billing records clean and audit-ready

• Support month-end close: revenue cutoff, reconciliations, and reporting

Operations support

• Keep job-tracking reports and operational spreadsheets current

• Coordinate paperwork for field personnel (onboarding documents, compliance items)

• Act as the go-between for field operations, customers, and accounting

You’ll do well here if you

• Have 2 years of high-volume invoicing or billing experience — service-ticket or field-ticket billing strongly preferred

• Have billed in oilfield services, trucking/logistics, construction, or a similar field-services business

• Are strong in Excel and pick up new systems quickly — we run an ERP plus customer billing portals, and we will train you on ours

• Have working knowledge of sales tax on invoicing — what’s taxable, what’s exempt, and how exemption certificates work (multistate exposure a plus)

• Sweat the details — a wrong rate, missed tax, or missing ticket is money left on the table

• Stay organized when five things are moving at once, and don’t let items die in an inbox

Nice to have

• Enverus OpenInvoice / OpenTicket experience (or Cortex, Cass, or similar portals)

• AFE and job-cost billing knowledge

How we’ll set you up

You will report to our Regional Manager and work day-to-day with our Billing Manager, who will lead structured training on our systems, customers, and pricing during your first weeks — we don’t hand you a queue on day one and walk away.
