Position: Fiber & Coax Technician
Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Work Type: Field / Residential Installation
We are looking for experienced and motivated Fiber & Coax Technicians to join our growing field team. Technicians will perform residential internet installations and service work for major telecommunications providers.
What You'll Do
- Install and service fiber and coaxial cable at residential properties
- Perform cable routing, pulling, termination, and connections
- Install and configure internet equipment and related components
- Troubleshoot connectivity and signal issues
- Work in residential homes, basements, attics, and outdoor areas
- Safely use ladders and hand/power tools
- Complete assigned jobs according to company quality and safety standards
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide excellent service
Requirements
- Previous fiber, coax, cable, telecommunications, or residential installation experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of fiber and/or coaxial cable installation
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Comfortable working outdoors and in different weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders and work at various heights
- Must have your own basic hand tools
- Working vehicle preferred: Minivan, pickup truck, or SUV — any color
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation to assigned job locations
- Ability to pass required background/driving checks, if applicable
1099 Contractor
This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity, not a traditional W-2 employee position.
Technicians are responsible for their own applicable taxes, insurance, tools, and vehicle expenses.
Vehicle
A working minivan, pickup truck, or SUV is preferred. Any vehicle color is acceptable.
