Feed Truck Driver/Pen Rider/CDL Driver Needed for Family-Owned Feedlot & Farming Team

Our custom farming, trucking and feedlot business is located in Atwood, Colorado (about 10 minutes southwest of Sterling). We run a 7,500 head feedlot and raise annual crops (currently hay and corn). We’re dedicated to taking care of our farm, livestock and team. We are looking for a highly motivated Feed Truck Driver/Pen Rider/ CDL Driver to join us. In this role you will drive daily routes or work here at the farm and are home nightly. The successful applicant will receive a competitive salary (based on experience) ranging from $60,000 to 80,000, eligible for paid health insurance, ½ beef per year, paid vacation, sick leave, bonuses, and company matching 401K.
Responsibilities could include:
- Load and deliver feed to cattle
- Overseeing daily cattle health
- Keep a clean, properly maintained truck
- Drive daily routes
- Proper paperwork for loads and cattle
- Ability to push, pull & lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment drug screen
- 1 year related experience preferred but not required
- Prior experience in agriculture or farming is preferred but not required
- Preferred but not required: Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL), with clean driving record
- Prompt and self-starter
- An all-around team player
- Outstanding problem-solving skills
- Willing to work longer hours during peak seasons
- If you can do one or all of these jobs, pay can be adjusted accordingly
