POSITION SUMMARY:

Come bake, decorate, and sell cupcakes with us at Gigi's Cupcakes! Make our customers' day sweeter with your smile and a delicious treat. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet and wait on customers promptly and cheerfully.
• Bake and prepare products for sale.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
• Record detailed common and custom orders using order tracking software.
• Adhere to Gigi’s Cupcakes policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal laws.
• Operate POS system in accordance with Gigi’s Cupcakes procedures.
• Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display products in accordance with Gigi’s Cupcakes standards, recipes, and policies in compliance with Food Safety Policies and Procedures and Health Department regulations.
• Perform required temperature monitoring.
• Monitor product quality; make sure it is always fresh and safe.
• Maintain proper signage, product rotation, and quantity.
• Assist on special projects such as periodic inventories, seasonal store resets, remodels, special merchandising promotions, and special events.
• Keep sales areas, kitchen, and coolers clean and well organized.
• Keep carts, tools, equipment and supplies in their designated areas.
• Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
• Wash and sanitize bakeware and utensils in accordance with Gigi’s Cupcakes and Health Department policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·      Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

·      Must be available to work two 6 hour shifts per week.

·      Basic math skills are required.

·      Willing to work Saturdays and Holidays as needed.

·      Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, and training materials.

·      Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills that engage our customers and associates.

·      Ability to multi-task, set priorities, present information in a professional manner and work with all levels of the organization.

·      Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to help all members of the department.

·      Possess abilities and skills for effective production, merchandising, and customer services.

·      Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

·      On feet up to 6 hours per day

·      Dexterity to twist, squat, bend, push, reach, and pull

·      Frequently lift 1-15 pounds

·      Occasionally lift 20-50 pounds

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 1 year previous experience in food preparation or other related positions
• 1 year previous experience with customer service
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling.
