Job Description :

We are seeking a Cloud Architect with extensive experience in enterprise cloud architecture, IT infrastructure design, cloud governance, and cloud platform implementation.

This individual will serve as a key member of SDAO, responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud environments that support our client’s business and technology objectives. The role calls for expertise in cloud-native technologies, infrastructure modernization, security, governance, cost management, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions. The Cloud Architect will provide strategic guidance on cloud adoption, architecture standards, and technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and operational requirements.

What You''ll Do

Design and develop enterprise cloud architectures, including compute, network, storage, security, and application integration components
Assess existing cloud platforms and configurations, identifying opportunities for standardization, modernization, automation, and cost optimization
Create cloud infrastructure designs and implementation roadmaps aligned with client’s business objectives
Develop cloud governance frameworks, standards, policies, and best practices for compliance, security, and cost effectiveness
Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies, architecture patterns, and technology stacks that support innovation and modernization
Implement, configure, and deploy cloud environments across enterprise platforms
Lead migration efforts for existing applications, services, and data into cloud-based environments
Document current-state ("As-Is") and future-state ("To-Be") cloud architectures, including diagrams, workflows, dependencies, and operational procedures
Integrate cloud-native services — application services, serverless functions, containers, microservices, data orchestration tools, and storage platforms
Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, scalability, and security
Develop cloud cost management strategies and resource optimization practices
Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure, application, and integration issues
Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, security teams, and network engineers on cloud-based solutions
Create architecture visualizations using Microsoft Visio or similar tools
Build cloud performance, utilization, and cost dashboards using Power BI or equivalent
Provide technical leadership throughout the design, implementation, and operational lifecycle of cloud initiatives
Support enterprise architecture governance processes and alignment with IT roadmaps

Must Haves

15 years of experience in the design, development, and implementation of IT infrastructure
5 years of experience specifically in enterprise cloud architecture
5 years aligning cloud strategies and technologies with enterprise architecture standards and IT roadmaps
5 years building comprehensive cloud architectures, including network layouts, storage solutions, and compute resources
5 years developing visual dashboards from raw data for cost management, using Power BI or similar visualization platforms
3 years of experience in the transit industry
3 years implementing architectural patterns and designs for data analytics applications.
