Our Wayzata center is led by a long-standing Director who has been with Small World Learning Center for many years, providing consistency and strong leadership for both staff and families. She is supported by an Assistant Director who brings valuable experience from working across multiple locations—together, they create a supportive, organized, and welcoming environment for children and teachers alike.
We’re looking for an experienced and flexible Lead Teacher Float to join our Wayzata team. This role supports various classrooms within the center — stepping in as needed to provide consistency and care across different age groups. If you love variety, teamwork, and making a difference wherever you’re needed most, this is the role for you!
What You’ll Do
- Provide classroom support across multiple age groups (infant through school age)
- Step into Lead Teacher roles as needed to maintain classroom quality and ratios
- Build positive, nurturing relationships with children, families, and staff
- Help implement curriculum and maintain licensing standards
- Support transitions, breaks, and center operations as directed by leadership

Qualifications
- Must meet Lead Teacher qualifications under MN DHS Rule 3
- Experience working with multiple age groups in a licensed childcare setting preferred
- Strong communication, flexibility, and teamwork skills
- Positive, dependable, and proactive attitude
