Salt Lake's premier child care center, SMALL WORLD CHILD CARE, has been providing quality childcare for our community for over 40 years! We have 2 locations to better serve our community, located in West Jordan and West Valley City. We are currently looking to add a Full Time Teacher to our team at our West Jordan Center location. Responsibilities
Small World needs individuals who are comfortable working with all ages, 6 weeks to 12 years, enjoy being part of a team, and are punctual and dependable. Each staff member should bring positivity and encouragement into their work environment.
This position needs to be filled by someone who has a strong personality but is also a lot of fun. Teachers need to be well organized and able to implement our curriculum for their age group through exciting and interactive lessons and activities. Teachers should always be actively engaged with the children. We want teachers that will be super sweet, loving, fun and happy; children need consistent positive attention. We enjoy a positive work environment; we need people who will work well and maturely with others. Children learn a lot from their teachers.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old. Must be physically able to pick up children (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift and be able to get down on the floor with them. Experience in child care is a plus, but not necessarily required. Having a current Child Development Associates (CDA) is preferred. Must be able to speak, read, and write in English both fluently and well. All applicants must pass a federal background check, have, or be willing to get, a current food handler’s permit, and become first-aid certified. Must enjoy being around kids and having fun! Must be comfortable speaking in front of a room of children and with parents, in both a kind and respectful manner. Experienced teachers in a child care or school classroom setting are preferred, but if this sounds like something you would enjoy, please contact us!
