What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Therapist- School based position at Small Talk Pediatrics Speech Therapy?
Small Talk Pediatric Speech Therapy contracts occupational therapists, speech therapists and physical therapists to work in various schools throughout New Jersey. All contracts are fee for service. This is a 1099 position only.
Speech and Language Pathologist (K-12):
- How many days per week the SLP is needed? 5-Days
- How many hours per day? 7:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
- Is it a full time position? Full-time as a contract
- 2026-2027 School year
Duties/Responsibilities
- The Speech and Language Pathologist shall be responsible for providing diagnostic and intervention services for students with speech, language and hearing disorders, helping students to adjust and have access to the general education curriculum. Participate in extensive professional development, collaborate with other faculty and staff, promote rigorous learning opportunities, and look out for the collective and individual interests of students as well as the schools’ greater community.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and SLS certification
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques and student assessment
- Experience working in a school setting, particularly with pediatric populations
