Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral therapy services. The RBT will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized treatment plans. Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, feeding, and toileting to promote independence
- Support clients in developing communication, social, and life skills through teaching strategies
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency in intervention strategies
- Monitor client safety and behavior management during sessions, applying positive reinforcement techniques
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to special education, medical terminology, and behavior management techniques
Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligibility to obtain certification prior to employment
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management, and special education practices
- Ability to collect detailed data accurately and maintain comprehensive medical records
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, HIPAA compliance, and medical documentation standards
- Excellent teaching skills with patience and empathy for clients’ individual needs
- Ability to work effectively with individuals requiring behavioral health support and assist with ADLs as needed
- Prior experience working within care plans or behavioral health settings is preferred
