Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and other foundational skills.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies.
- Provide individualized attention and support to children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities.
- Help facilitate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in preschool or daycare settings.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and independence.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative educational experience.
- Assist with curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards such as Montessori or preschool frameworks.
- Support children with special needs through specialized strategies and accommodations as needed.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom management, and inclusive education practices.
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, private school settings, or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
