Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler with strong attention to detail to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems with precision, utilizing various hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical drawings, schematics, and fabrication processes to ensure the accurate construction of products. The Mechanical Assembler will play a vital part in maintaining quality standards and supporting production efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components following detailed schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and procedures.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accurate assembly
- Inventory and measure incoming parts to be sure they are within tolerances specified in the mechanical design.
- Working under a microscope or magnifier
- Perform quality checks on assembled parts using precision measuring instruments to meet specifications
- Assist in the fabrication and modification of parts as required for assembly projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards
- Occasionally helping with electronics manufacturing processes (depaneling, minor testing, assembly)
- Running a laser program and manually cutting foam sheets for packaging material.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines, quality goals, and improve processes.
Experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly environments preferred
- Proficiency reading mechanical drawings and schematic interpretation
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, soldering, machining, and fabrication techniques
- Familiarity with using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
