Overview:
- Customer is hiring multiple Technical Program Managers to support advanced engineering programs focused on aerospace systems, autonomous platforms, robotics, sensor integration, and mission-critical technologies.
- These opportunities support multidisciplinary teams developing complex hardware and software solutions in highly technical environments. Depending on the program assignment, candidates may work on airborne platforms, sensor integration, autonomy, robotics, computer vision, software development, systems integration, testing, and deployment activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams consisting of software, hardware, systems, and test engineers.
- Manage technical programs through the complete product lifecycle, from requirements and planning through deployment and operational integration.
- Drive program execution, manage schedules, dependencies, risks, and technical deliverables.
- Coordinate activities across engineering teams, leadership, stakeholders, and customers.
- Support system integration, testing, simulation activities, and field demonstrations.
- Partner with engineering leadership to resolve technical challenges and accelerate project execution.
- Develop mitigation strategies for technical and operational risks.
- Track program performance using metrics, reporting, and data-driven decision making.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, Engineering Manager, Systems Engineer, or similar role.
- Experience managing complex hardware and/or software development programs.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, systems engineering, and product development processes.
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
- Practical familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with aerospace, defense, aviation, robotics, autonomy, computer vision, or mission systems.
- Experience supporting airborne platforms, sensor integration, C4ISR, EO/IR systems, secure communications, or data fusion technologies.
- Experience working with autonomous systems, robotics platforms, perception systems, or software-intensive products.
- Familiarity with verification & validation, systems integration, testing, and deployment activities.
- PMP, SAFe, or related certifications.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments.
