Job Summary:
We are seeking a CAD Design Engineer with hands-on experience using Siemens NX to create detailed manufacturing drawings for mechanical components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will work closely with Mechanical Engineering teams to produce production-ready engineering documentation from existing 3D CAD models while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and GD&T requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or higher in CAD Technology, Drafting, Design Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
2 years of CAD Design/Drafting experience
Minimum 1 year of hands-on Siemens NX experience (Required)
Experience creating manufacturing-ready engineering drawings from existing 3D CAD models
Experience creating:
Part Drawings
Assembly Drawings
Detail Drawings
Manufacturing Drawings
Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5 GD&T
Knowledge of engineering drawing standards
Experience supporting Mechanical Engineering teams
Familiarity with mechanical components, assemblies, engineering materials, and manufacturing processes
Experience managing drawing revisions and Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECR)
Preferred Qualifications:
Aerospace or Aviation industry experience
Aircraft structural components
Sheet Metal and Machined Parts

Key Responsibilities:
Create detailed production-ready part and assembly drawings using Siemens NX
Develop manufacturing drawings from existing 3D CAD models
Apply GD&T principles in accordance with ASME Y14.5
Release engineering drawings through PLM systems
Support engineering change requests, revisions, and ECO/ECR activities
Maintain engineering documentation and revision history
Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams
Support prototype builds and production releases
Ensure drawing quality, accuracy, and compliance with engineering standards
Preferred Industry Background
- Candidates with experience in Aerospace, Aviation, Defense, Automotive, Semiconductor Equipment, or Precision Manufacturing environments are highly preferred.
