Content Creator/Videographer/Photography Job description
Slush Motorsports has an exciting opportunity for an innovative multimedia creator to join our team. You’ll lead our efforts in video and photo content projects designed to drive social media growth and engagement. As a Content Creator you will also contribute to overall management of our social accounts, YouTube channel and other platforms. Slush Motorsports produces vibrant automotive events in Colorado and around the US where amateurs, pros, spectators, and aficionados come to our playground to connect with other enthusiasts and share their passions. Our events feature: Drifting, Road Course Racing, Drag Racing, Roll Racing, Show Cars, 2- Step, Burnouts and more. We also host car Sunday car meets.
Responsibilities
• Lead video and photo content projects through every phase of production including: creative development, conception, pre-production planning, production/shooting, post-production, editing, and delivery
• Deliver content in a variety of formats including: social media content, sizzle reels, corporate videos, video news releases, advertising, lifestyle photography, and product photography.
• Generate work in a timely manner that connects with intended audiences and achieves objectives
• Develop insights and optimizations based on performance and adapt future content accordingly
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects and related timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Organize/retain archives and raw footage
• Stay informed on industry trends
• Must produce multiple pieces of original content each week
Qualifications (5 years)
• Previous automotive photography and videography is a must.
• Proven ability to create impactful social content, as well as deep knowledge of the social media landscape and social video best practices
• Knowledge of social media monetization
• Knowledge of podcasting
• Proficiency with the Adobe suite of video and graphics production tools.
• Experience with video hosting platforms and live streaming.
• Writing/story development
• Expertise in camera operations, lighting, and supplementary technologies such as drones
• Must own/use your own gear
• Background in studio and field production
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Responsible, accountable, flexible self-starter/self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to collaborate and foster strong cross-functional teamwork to achieve positive results
• Automotive-focused portfolio, including social-first video and photography
• Schedule flexibility. This role may include working early mornings, nights and/or weekends - as well as occasional out of state events.
