We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing storm, sewer, and water pipe systems. The Pipelayer will be responsible for ensuring that pipes are laid accurately and efficiently, following blueprints and project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and the ability to work effectively on construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipelines for water, sanitary sewer and storm systems.
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to assist in pipeline installation.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate placement of pipes.
- Strong understanding of pipe grades and elevations
- Utilize pipe lasers for precise alignment during installation.
- Conduct utility locating to avoid damage to existing infrastructure during excavation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed on the construction site.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
Experience
- Proven experience in pipelaying or related construction roles is required.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is essential; experience with dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and forklifts is highly desirable.
- Experience with utility locating and pipeline installation of storm, sanitary sewer, and water pipe systems.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications is required.
- Previous construction site experience is essential for success in this role.
