Some projects that this position will work on will include, Back yard environments along with custom swimming pools, patios, outdoor kitchens and fireplaces, lush landscaping and landscape lighting.
Duties
- Develop comprehensive landscape design concepts using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, ProLandscape & Dynascape, ensuring alignment with client visions and project requirements
- Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for hardscape elements, planting schemes, irrigation systems, and site grading using CAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Land surveying techniques
- Conduct site analysis to assess land conditions, topography, soil types, and environmental constraints
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project managers to coordinate project phases from initial design through construction documentation
- Assist in construction estimating and budgeting by evaluating materials, labor costs, and scheduling to ensure project feasibility
- Oversee landscape maintenance planning to ensure long-term health and aesthetic quality of completed projects
Skills
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop) for drafting and visualization
- Expertise in horticulture principles, landscaping techniques, hardscape construction methods, and irrigation systems
- Experience with concepts related to land surveying, grading plans, drainage design, and site analysis
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent project management skills
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and sustainable design practices
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting ideas clearly to clients
