What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Scheduler position at SLS Consultants?
SLS Consultants is one of the fastest growing turnkey owner’s representatives, managing some of the most complex and interesting real estate and construction projects globally. Partnering with some of the world’s largest data center, pharmaceutical, and healthcare developers, we are looking for a Scheduler to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients’ success.
The Scheduler will actively participate in all aspects of project scheduling and project controls on various projects. They will assist in the development of project schedules to baseline and measure project performance.
Responsibilities
- Work with the project team and technical experts to develop project milestones and activities based on design and procurement plans in a format acceptable to all project stakeholders.
- Track and monitor pre-construction and construction activities, including design deliverables, owner-furnished equipment, and the buyout of critical work packages.
- Establish planned resources for critical work packages and use this information to determine the value of work in place. This will be done with consideration of how resourcing informs earned value tracking deliverables, including WIP, pay applications, and cost/earned value projections.
- Work with mechanical and electrical contractors to validate that planned resources align with construction estimates provided during scope buyout.
- Incorporate changes into the project schedule and provide feedback to the project team regarding the impact of these changes on the overall project schedule.
- Assist the project team with pull-planning meetings. The Senior Project Scheduler will provide the project team with six-week look-ahead schedules for planning upcoming work.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly project progress reports, including total project cost reports, schedules, physical progress, and earned value reporting.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or related area strongly preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 6 years’ experience in construction industry with project controls experience
- Strong computer skills, including expert Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CMiC
- Independent & Leadership Skills – must be able to confidently lead meetings and run major issues to ground, analyze and summarize information into informed opinions and provide candid feedback to vendors, contractors, sub-contractors & client
Salary : $150,000 - $190,000
