What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Technician position at SLP Lighting, LLC?
Following standard procedures and work- instructions, wires and assembles LED lighting fixtures/components using hand tools, wire strippers, drills, screw drivers, pliers, and other hand tools. Programs LED drivers. Checks fit, form and functionality. Checks continuity/HI-Pot testing. Packages, stacks and palletizes orders per customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Promotes and supports a safety-first work atmosphere
- Follows and supports all company rules and policies
- Pulls or “picks” inventory from stock for product builds.
- Assembles various products using SOP’s and DWI’s.
- Perform other duties as required
- Keeps department clean and organized following 5S methodology
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation and exceptional attendance record
- Time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Able to interact with others in a respectful and collaborative manner
- Pass Pre-Employment Background Check, Drug Screen and Physical
- Available to Work Overtime as Needed
Required Skills:
- Able to follow direction and coordinate work with others
- Ability to stand/walk working in a manufacturing environment 85% of the time
- Able to rotate from job to job when required
