Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Bench Technician/Slot Technician role based in Las Vegas, NV. The Bench Technician/Slot Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and refurbishing slot machines and gaming components, including testing and calibrating parts to ensure proper functionality and compliance with quality standards. Daily activities include performing board-level repairs, replacing faulty components, using test equipment to verify performance, and documenting work performed in service logs or ticketing systems. The role also involves assembling and disassembling machines, maintaining a clean and safe workbench, organizing parts and tools, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals and turnaround times. The technician may provide occasional technical support to internal teams, assist with inventory control for parts and equipment, and follow all company and regulatory procedures for handling gaming hardware.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on skills with soldering and the safe use of hand tools for electronic and mechanical repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot electronic and electro-mechanical systems, identify root causes, and perform effective technical support for slot machines and components.
- Experience using test equipment (such as multimeters, power supplies, and diagnostic tools) to verify, calibrate, and validate repairs.
- Basic understanding of electronics, circuitry, and mechanical assemblies, preferably within gaming, amusement, or similar equipment environments.
- Attention to detail, ability to follow technical diagrams or service manuals, and skill in accurately documenting repairs and test results.
- Reliability in an on-site, full-time role, including the ability to stand, lift moderate weights, and work at a bench for extended periods while following safety guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn proprietary systems, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or coursework in electronics, electro-mechanical repair, or related field is preferred.
