Oil Delivery Manager – Rhode Island

Slomin's, one of the Northeast’s largest family owned and operated HVAC and Heating Oil Delivery companies, is currently looking for an experienced Oil Delivery Manager in Rhode Island. Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement
• Strong knowledge of Rhode Island roadways, towns, and delivery routes particularly in and around Providence
• Ability to commute to or reside within a reasonable distance of Providence, RI
• Proven leadership and managerial experience, with the ability to supervise, train, and motivate drivers and staff
• Experience in fuel / oil delivery operations or a related logistics / transportation field preferred
• Basic to intermediate mechanical knowledge of diesel trucks, including the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs or coordinate maintenance 
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills, including route planning, dispatch coordination, and time management
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance, including DOT and environmental regulations
• Excellent communication skills, both with team members and customers
• Ability to manage inventory levels, delivery schedules, and emergency service calls
• Proficiency with dispatching software, GPS systems, and basic computer applications
• Willingness to work extended hours / days during peak seasons (e.g., winter demand spikes)
• Ability and willingness to operate company vehicles and perform deliveries as needed, including stepping in to drive routes during staffing shortages, peak demand, or emergency situations
• Will need to train at the company headquarters on Long Island for a period of up to three (3) months
• Must undergo a criminal background check. Having a criminal history does not automatically disqualify anyone from being hired.

Preferred:

• Prior knowledge of managing fuel delivery fleets or similar operations
• Knowledge of Rhode Island and federal fuel transportation regulations
• Experience with customer service and account management in a delivery-based business

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 annual, plus an end-of-year bonus
