The John Deere Agriculture Technician Program combines classroom instruction with paid dealership experience to prepare you for a successful future as an agricultural equipment technician. As a student enrolled at Lake Land College, Vincennes University, or Northeast Iowa Community College, you'll receive hands-on technical training while completing paid internships at your sponsoring Sloan Implement dealership. Throughout the program, you'll work alongside experienced technicians, develop valuable real-world skills, and gain the knowledge needed to diagnose, repair, and maintain today's advanced agricultural equipment.

What You'll Do:

• Learn to diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural and turf equipment through a combination of classroom instruction and paid internships.
• Participate in hands-on technical training that builds the skills needed for a successful career as a John Deere Technician.
• Work alongside experienced technicians at your sponsoring dealership to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world environment.
• Attend and actively participate in all required college courses throughout the program.
• Maintain reliable attendance and complete required internship hours.
• Follow dealership safety practices and maintain a driving record that meets company Motor Vehicle Records requirements throughout employment.

• A passion for agriculture, machinery, and hands-on problem solving.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced technicians.
• Commitment to successfully completing both classroom and internship requirements.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment.
• Must pass a DOT physical and renew certification annually as a condition of continued employment.

Pay Information:

The starting hourly pay range for this position is $18 to $18.
