Property Claims Representative III

About the job

The Claims Representative III – Property will manage complex property claims from initial report

through resolution while providing responsive service and ensuring accurate, timely claim

handling.

We're looking for someone who

● Has a high school diploma or equivalent

● Has property claims experience

● Has experience handling complex property claims from investigation through resolution

● Understands property insurance policies, coverage, and claim procedures

● Demonstrates strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills

● Communicates clearly and professionally with customers, contractors, vendors, and

internal teams

● Has strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills

● Is highly organized and able to manage multiple claims and deadlines

● Is proficient with Microsoft Office and claims management systems

● Holds applicable insurance claims licenses or certifications (preferred)

● Has experience with estimating software or property damage assessment tools (preferred)

What you'll do

● Review, investigate, and manage property claims from initial report through resolution

● Evaluate coverage, liability, damages, and applicable policy provisions

● Conduct interviews, review documentation, and gather information needed to determine

claim outcomes

● Inspect or coordinate inspections of property damage

● Review repair estimates, invoices, photographs, and other supporting documentation

● Communicate claim decisions, settlement offers, and next steps to policyholders and other

involved parties

● Negotiate settlements with customers, contractors, vendors, and other representatives

● Identify potential fraud, subrogation, recovery, or other claim-related issues and escalate

as appropriate

● Maintain accurate claim files and document all investigative and settlement activities

● Ensure claims are handled in accordance with company procedures and applicable

requirements

● Resolve customer concerns and escalate complex or disputed matters when necessary

● Collaborate with underwriting, legal, customer service, and other internal teams as needed

● Monitor claim activity, reserves, expenses, and settlement progress

● Provide guidance and support on complex property claims to less experienced team

members
