About the job:The Senior Packaging Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient, cost-effective, and protective packaging solutions. From material selection and CAD design to prototype creation and final approval, this role supports the entire lifecycle of packaging development.We’re looking for someone who:· Has a BS in Packaging, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience in packaging design)· Brings at least 2 years of experience in the corrugated or structural packaging industry· Is experienced in CAD software like ArtiosCAD (required), SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Adobe Illustrator· Understands BOMs, ERP systems (Amtech), and document control (ECNs, ECRs, etc.)· Has hands-on familiarity with prototyping equipment (Gerber, Kongsberg)· Can interpret and create complex engineering drawings and specifications· Is highly organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple deadlines· Is bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)What you’ll do:· Design packaging using CAD tools based on customer and sales team input· Develop and test prototypes (fit, drop, and feasibility testing)· Prepare accurate pricing and BOMs aligned with production capabilities· Coordinate materials, tooling, and first article inspections· Release specification drawings and maintain ERP records· Support sales as a technical expert and collaborate across departments· Maintain consistency, documentation, and quality from design to production
Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
