About the job:
The Event Planner will support household maintenance, event preparation, and miscellaneous household needs for a historic residence. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overtime.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience as a professional housekeeper
- Understands social protocol for business and formal events
- Can handle meal preparation and beverage service when needed
- Prioritizes tasks and works independently while coordinating with staff and vendors
- Communicates effectively and maintains confidentiality with tact and discretion
- Is available evenings and weekends to support events
- Holds a valid CA driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Meets physical requirements, including standing/walking throughout shifts, lifting up to 40 lbs, and occasional bending or stooping
What you’ll do:
- Perform daily housekeeping, custodial needs, and general maintenance for a historic residence
- Maintain stock of household supplies and coordinate heavy cleaning when required
- Manage floral and seasonal decorations, silver polishing, and upkeep of outdoor furniture
- Assist with event preparation, setup, and support, including table arrangements, AV setup, caterer assistance, and cleanup
- Oversee caterers during events and secure the residence afterward
- Prepare beverages and refreshments for meetings, social gatherings, and small meals
- Handle deliveries and maintain event-related furniture and equipment
- Provide ad hoc household and errand support as directed
- Keep accurate expense records for household and event-related purchases
