Duties
- Assist senior plumbers with pipe installation, fitting, and assembly on construction sites
- Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and plumbing schematics
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding tools safely and effectively
- Support the maintenance and repair of plumbing systems to ensure proper operation
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment at all times
- Help with remodeling projects, handyman tasks, and general site maintenance as needed
- Participate in training sessions on building code compliance and mechanical knowledge
- Warehouse work, receiving orders, pulling orders and delivering material
Skills
- Basic construction experience or familiarity with construction sites preferred
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, pipe installation, and maintenance techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills using hand tools and power tools safely
- Welding experience or certification is a plus but not required
- Strong understanding of safety protocols including power tool safety and site hazard awareness
- Good communication skills for customer service interactions and team collaboration
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and reading technical specifications
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations relevant to plumbing work
- Experience with remodeling, handyman tasks, or general maintenance is advantageous
