IT Field Support Technician

Description

The ITS Specialist-Senior position will provide technical assistance and assessment of designated NYS DOL facilities via the NYS ITS Network Site Consultation process. This will include but not limited to circuit bandwidth, wireless predictive surveys, cable requirements as well as and required network and wireless upgrades. The position will require travel to complete the physical site assessments.

Duties

• Provide detailed site survey consultations.
• Travel to sites to perform required site surveys.
• Complete rough order magnitude estimates for site surveys.
• Submit internal requests to fulfill site surveys and monitor progress to resolution
• Act as liaison between ITS and DOL for site surveys.
• Implement, configure, install, troubleshoot, relocate, and remove various network equipment on site as needed.
  
  

Mandatory Requirements

• Experience (12 Years)
• Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer.

• This is an 100% Onsite.
• 60 Months of Experience installing/troubleshooting PCs and Printers.
• 60 Months of Experience installing/troubleshooting servers.
• 12 Months of Experience installing/troubleshooting VOIP phones.
• 60 Months of Experience installing/troubleshooting data communications equipment.
• 60 Months of Experience conducting technical site surveys.
• 60 Months of Experience data cable installation/troubleshooting.
• 36 Months of Experience conducting inventory control.
• 36 Months of Experience in desktop support.
