Job Duties:
Payroll:
- Process weekly union construction payroll – Monday’s
- Maintain employee files
- Complete verification of employments
- Enter Friend of The Court orders
- Enter new hire information accurately for union trades weekly payroll
- Enter federal, state, local tax information and direct deposits
- Review weekly timecards for accuracy
- Handle terminated/layoff employee checks/paperwork
- Verify daily time reports for accurate processing
- Assist in the preparation of monthly union reporting
- Support training sessions for new employees on time reporting
- Excellent customer service, assisting field and corporate employees with questions or special requests
- Assist in audits and year end duties
- Ability to work with people at different levels
Other:
- Ability to act as a backup for other departments on leave, vacation, and absences
- Filing as needed
- Scanning and organizing papers and files
Required qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience with union payroll and benefits
- Foundation Software Expierence a plus!!!!!
- Must have the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Must possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment that requires multi-tasking
- Must have advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience, knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations regarding payroll.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
- Highly organizations, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to modify tasks with changing priorities
- Be capable of working in a fast-paced environment, in a customer focused role, while having a high attention to detail and speed
- A self-motivated, positive, team player eager to join the family.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
