Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The Chef will play a vital role in menu planning, team management, and maintaining efficient kitchen workflows to meet the needs of our diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality food production
  • Oversee menu development, planning, and execution with a focus on innovative and appealing dishes
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in the kitchen
  • Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and client specifications
  • Supervise food handling, preparation, and presentation to uphold culinary standards
  • Oversee shift management, including scheduling staff shifts and delegating tasks efficiently
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to optimize service flow and customer satisfaction
  • Train new team members in food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards
  • Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements as needed

Skills

  • Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining, catering, or banquet settings
  • Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience working within dietary departments
  • Expertise in food production, menu planning, and food service management
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management skills
  • Proficiency in inventory management, inventory control, and food handling procedures
  • Exceptional cooking skills across various cuisines with attention to presentation detail
  • Experience in restaurant or hospitality management including shift management and kitchen operations
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations (HACCP certification preferred)
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
