Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee daily operations of our bar and beverage services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food and beverage management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Bar Manager will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring operational efficiency and profitability.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all bar operations, including food preparation, beverage service, and staff management
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Manage cash handling procedures accurately and securely
- Train, develop, and supervise bar staff to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to safety standards
- Oversee food safety practices, sanitation, and compliance with health regulations
- Plan and execute shift schedules, manage staffing levels, and ensure smooth shift transitions
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any issues promptly
- Assist in menu planning, including beverage selection and food pairing options
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and promote a positive dining experience
- Coordinate with kitchen management for food production, catering events, banquets, or special functions
Requirements
- Proven management experience in a quick service & fast food restaurant or fine dining environment with strong leadership skills in hospitality management
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, food handling, and food safety standards
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling and inventory control is essential
- Strong team management skills including staff training, interviewing potential employees, and supervising team members
- Knowledge of restaurant management practices including shift management, budgeting, food production, catering, and hospitality operations
- Experience in managing casual dining or banquet settings preferred; hotel or barista experience is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations gracefully
- Culinary experience or kitchen management background is advantageous
- Ability to lead training & development initiatives to enhance staff performance
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food safety standards and operational procedures
- Hospitality industry experience with a focus on leadership and team development
