Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS systems
- Handle cash transactions and process payments with precision and integrity
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Assist with food preparation, food handling, and maintaining sanitation standards in the café environment
- Clear tables, bus tables, and ensure cleanliness in dining areas to promote a safe and inviting space
- Support food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail math is preferred but not required; we welcome eager learners!
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems such is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and retail transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with bussing tables, serving customers, or working in a restaurant or grocery store setting is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
