What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crane Operator position at Sletten Companies?
Sletten Construction is looking for a Crane Operator to support current industrial construction projects in Great Falls, Montana. The Crane Operator is responsible for assisting the construction team during various stages of building by utilizing the crane to lift heavy equipment and building materials.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain 60 to 150 ton cranes
- Ensure loads are safely secured and of appropriate size for the crane in use
- Assist with planning and scheduling lifts in accordance with job requirements
- Brief team on hazards and mitigations of hazards for each lift
- Communicate with equipment management team on repairs and maintenance needed to cranes
- Relocate cranes when needed
- Must work quickly, productively, and safely without error and consistently meet the production goals as set by the Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager.
- Must comply with all company safety and personnel policies
- Must be able to pass a drug screening
- Must be over 18
- Must have a Montana Crane License
- Must have Lattice Boom Crane Experience
- Experience working off of a barge would be preferrable but not mandatory
- Must be able to occasionally lift and carry 80 lbs.
- Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, lift overhead, work at heights, walk/work in rough terrain in order to access equipment, tools, materials, and jobsite in order to complete work.
- Must have a CDL
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience
- Must have a clean driving record
- Initial project will be located in Great Falls, MT.
- 4-5 days a week, 10-12 hours per day
- Schedule will reflect the needs of the job.
