Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our grounds crew. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the grounds of the golf course and its surrounding amenities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work outdoors, develop agronomy skills, and contribute to the overall quality of one of the premier private golf clubs in the state of West Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging
using hand tools and power tools;
- Assist with turf care activities such as fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to promote
healthy turf growth;
- Operate mowers, blowers, trimmers, and other necessary turf care equipment safely and
efficiently;
- Support general course management activities including but not limited to course
preparation and seasonal clean-up projects;
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and in a safe condition in accordance with golf club
safety protocols; and
- Follow golf club etiquette.
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance is preferred but not required (training will
be provided for the right candidate);
- Familiarity with hand tools such as shovels and rakes is beneficial;
- Experience operating power tools used in landscaping;
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety
standards; and
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for outdoor beautification and environmental
stewardship.
