What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN/CMA position at Sleepy Eye Municipal Hospital?
A Clinic LPN or CMA will perform a variety of nursing duties within the scope of CMA or LPN such as rooming patients, documenting data collected, medication administration, supply management, vaccinations, treatments, and procedures that are prescribed by the physician or Nurse Practitioner. They practice excellent customer service skills such as a patient-centered communication approach, timely care delivery, and in an engaged team environment. They also maintain patient confidentiality
- Current Certified Medical Assistant or Current Licensed Practical Nurse
- Clinic work experience preferred. Other clinical experience considered.
- Ability to learn tasks readily to prescribed department routines and follow verbal and written instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with all levels of management and physicians
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to work with electronic documentation.
- Be able to work with little to no supervision
- Must possess excellent organizational skills
- Be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and equipment such as photocopy machines, telephones, fax machines, computer, printers, etc.
