Key Responsibilities
IT Support
- Provide first-level help desk support for staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and printer issues.
- Assist with setup, configuration, and deployment of computers, phones, and peripheral devices.
- Support user account creation, password resets, and access management.
- Document support requests, solutions, and workflows accurately.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors as needed.
Office & Administrative Tasks
- Assist with data entry for reporting purposes.
- Support staff with basic administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, scheduling, or preparing simple reports.
- Assist with prior authorization for services in the hospital setting.
- Provide general office support to ensure smooth daily operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and common office software (e.g., Microsoft 365).
- Ability to comprehend basic procedures and instructions outlining the various aspects of the medical record systems.
- Ability to prioritize job tasks and work under pressure with time constraints, including the ability to concentrate and listen.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain confidentiality in a healthcare setting.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Be able to work with minimal to no supervision.
- Must possess the ability to understand and communicate both verbally and in written form in the English language.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must possess visual and mental attention to position content with accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in IT or another healthcare-related field preferred.
- Supports the missions of the Sleepy Eye Medical Center.
- Experience in healthcare-related positions preferred but not required
- Experience in a hospital or medical environment is a plus, but not required.
Sleepy Eye Medical Center is seeking a full-time IT Support & Office Operations Technician. 80 hours per two-week pay period. Responsibilities include front-line support of products, PCs, and application support. Provides technical assistance to various departments. Coordinates with Outside IT company for escalated needs.
