- Onsite | San Carlos, CA (This is not a remote or hybrid role)
- Pay: $25–$30 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

About the Role
As a Medical Device/DME Coordinator, you’ll be a vital part of our Patient Service Center team and one of the friendly faces of SleepQuest. You’ll work directly with patients, both in person and over the phone, guiding them through home sleep testing and therapeutic equipment like CPAP, AutoPAP, and BiLevel devices.
This is a hands-on, patient-focused role where your education, compassion, and attention to detail will truly make a difference in patients’ lives.
What You’ll Do

Educate patients on Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)

Guide patients through at-home sleep studies

Educate patients on CPAP and related equipment (in person and by phone)

Prepare, dispense, clean, and service Durable Medical Equipment (DME)

Occasionally review diagnostic studies with patients

Conduct compliance follow-ups within 90 days and communicate results to MDs and billing

Maintain accurate patient documentation in medical billing software

Communicate insurance compliance requirements clearly and compassionately

Monitor clinical supplies and notify leadership when reordering is needed

Ensure all paperwork and work orders are completed accurately

Support additional projects as needed
What We’re Looking For
Required:
-
AA degree OR Medical Assistant certification with 2 years of hands-on experience in a medical office

Willingness to train toward Device Licensee certification (1-year training period)

Basic knowledge of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred (but not required):

Device Licensee, Polysomnography Technologist, or Respiratory Therapist certification

Experience with CPAP equipment

Brightree or similar database experience

Bilingual skills
