Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Breakfast Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving breakfast items to guests in a hotel or restaurant setting. Your attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent customer service will ensure that our guests start their day off right.
Duties
- Prepare and present a variety of breakfast items, including hot and cold dishes, in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet area, ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout service hours.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives for food preparation and cash registers for processing guest transactions.
- Assist guests with their breakfast selections, providing recommendations and accommodating dietary restrictions as needed.
- Monitor food inventory levels, restocking items as necessary to ensure a continuous supply of fresh offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food items.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, catering, or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques, including meat cutting and food preparation skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor towards guests and team members.
- Must be able to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service is an advantage.
