Full-Time Cabinet Maker/Millwork Benchman - Min. 5 Years Exp.

Position: Custom Benchman/Millwork with a minimum 5 years of experience.

SledgeCraft is a High-End Custom Millwork shop in Murfreesboro, TN.

Located just 25 min outside of Nashville, TN.

We are seeking experienced custom benchmen/millwork. Minimum of 5 years’ experience required. Must be able to read shop drawings and build independently. Must be able to manufacture cabinets and custom millwork. Experience with CNC machinery a plus. Must be willing to work occasional over-time when needed. Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.

This is a full-time, hourly position with standard hours (6:30am to 3:00pm M-F ) reporting to the Custom Shop Manager.

Requirements:

• This position requires cutting, lifting, and transporting wood and other materials from floor to waist height on a regular basis.
• This will have frequent movement around shop floor and standing.
• Must be comfortable using hand tools, measuring devices and large woodworking equipment.
• All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.

Duties:

• Preparing, organizing, and maintaining material, product, and tools necessary for assembly.

• Machine set-up and problem-solving techniques.

• Responsible for reviewing drawings to ensure product, accessories and components are ready for assembly.

• Ability to coordinate with engineering department to ensure smooth process and task completion.

• Maintaining consistent fast paced workflow to meet project deadlines.

• Able to check own work to achieve no defects

• Reliable transportation to/from work is required

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with proper lifting techniques.

• Employment is contingent on a clean background and drug screen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
